Anyone had a sweep at 36 weeks with any success? Any other tips for early natural labour?

I'm T1 diabetic and the baby is getting too big and there's a risk of shoulder dystocia.

I was induced with my last baby at 37 weeks but the OB has recommended sweeps from 36 weeks to get things moving.

I'd love if things could happen naturally...

I had a (rough) sweep at 36+5 and no joy unfortunately, ended up being induced a week later. :(

I have heard that sex with orgasm as mentioned up thread does work well though. :)

meringue ... you were lucky, obviously ready for labour, it's a myth that certain foods bring on labour. Smile
