foundintranslation · 26/04/2006 14:40

'Fraid not, but ooooh exciting! Everyone's been speculating about you :)

Good luck!

NomDePlume · 26/04/2006 14:40

OH BLIMEY !

I built DD's cot and carried it upstairs the day I went into labour, that got things moving Wink

Curry ?
Castor Oil ?
Pineapple ?

Come on Baby E, I've got a quid on you !

With DS, waters broke at 6:30am, proper contractions started at 6:45pm. I did quite a bit of walking for the gap inbetween.

Harpsichordcarrier · 26/04/2006 14:41

DO NOT HAVE SEX
as your waters have gone
(I'm sure you were just DYING to....)

cupcakes · 26/04/2006 14:41

I hear that constant mumsnetting works a treat...Grin

oliveoil · 26/04/2006 14:42

My waters broke in the middle of the night and I found that punching a sleeping dh in the face brought them on fine and dandy.

BettySpaghetti · 26/04/2006 14:42

I was sent for a walk in hospital -only got halfway down a long corridor before having to go back as it started things off v. quickly!

NomDePlume · 26/04/2006 14:42

rofl olive !

mumfor1standfinaltime · 26/04/2006 14:42

Had show 2 days before waters broke, then had contractions 2 hours after. Ate lots of toast and watched tv. Dh ran around loading the car!

SO excited, any twinges?

arfy · 26/04/2006 14:42

yes, get walking (or lumbering, which was all I could manage)

Peachyclair · 26/04/2006 14:43

walking seemed to help with all mine.

Good luck Enid- YAy that it's all starting.

Enid · 26/04/2006 14:43

waters started going at 5am

still nothing concrete, loads of niggly pains and the occasional contraction

midwives wont examine me to see if I have got anywhere because of infection risk

sooooooooo frustrating as my best friend is staying but she has to go tomorrow

also answering my boring question about night time nappies might help

Mercy · 26/04/2006 14:44

Agree walk.

My waters went first with both of my labours.

contractions started approx 3 hours later with dd, but about 10 hours later with ds

GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!

oliveoil · 26/04/2006 14:44

are you going for your pool?

welshboris · 26/04/2006 14:44

woooo hoo good luck

Bozza · 26/04/2006 14:44

When did they go? Walking up and down stairs several times (not by design, mind you) seemed to get things going with DD? I nipped downstairs for my notes for the mw and she was born 15 mins later. Had to stop half way up mid-contraction, mind you.
