Wanting C section at weekend help

Hi, I'm booked in for 4th c section on a Monday but really want the Sunday as the date of my other 3 kids are then on the same date (sad I know) does anyone know of any reason why they would class me as an emergency on the Sunday without going into labour? Or any good tips on starting labour? Thanks

Sorry to be a bit of a party pooper but there are sound reasons for arranging elective sections on weekdays.More staff are on duty and that leads to a safer service for both you and other women on del suite. Think this one through.

The least worst case with an "emergency" that needn't have occurred would be you having your section while another women is told she can't have an epidural because the anaesthetist is with you.On Monday there will be an anaesthetist for the elective list.

Yeah, what mayhew said.

Can you not get moved to the Tuesday?. The only time I have known"electives" at weekend is if someone has started to labour/Rupture membranes etc so a "semi elective section" performed - this is quite rare to be honest

Seriously?
There is much less medical staffing at a weekend. You won't get an elective section at a weekend, as mayhem said there are good reasons for doing them on a weekday. This is major abdominal surgery, not a trip out.

Sorry, Mayhew, silly autocorrect

I had an ELCS privately and even then you don't get to choose the date with the exactness you are wanting. You go when your consultant and the theatre are free.
