I didn't get back pain during OP labour, either.

Enid - the baby might well turn (and probably will), before birth or in early labour. You might well be absolutely fine with an OP labour - I was and I hadn't even had a baby before!

If you really want a homegirth, I would continue with your plans, and if you change your mind you can transfer. And i wouldn't have thought that transferring would mean you couldn't have a CS if you want to avoid ventouse or forceps?

Do you think you do, at heart, wnat a homebirth, or would you feel a bit relieved if the mw advises 'pack up your maternity pants and come in'?

I didn't have home birth but ds2 and ds3 were OP and ds3 managed to sort of screwdriver his way out if that makes sense.Would definately recommend cranial osteopath (for baby) afterwards, really settles ds3 down and wish I had known about it for ds2.
