Its time, at last! Waters broke at 5:15.. Feeling a bit crampy(period like) but not much else happening, water is still coming away. Phoned triage and they told me to call back at 7 and they would assess wether i should come in tonight or not! Will i be meeting my baby soon? How long before they admit me to ramp things up? First timer here!!! 40+5 btw, so ready to have this baby!!!

Wonderful! Try to rest. My waters broke at the beginning of my first labour and I wish I'd rested instead of tramping around the park Grin GOOD LUCK!

mayhew · 26/09/2012 12:29

Baths are safe. The water can't get up there!

AdiVic · 26/09/2012 12:36

FirstTimeMumma · 29/09/2012 16:51

Just to update girls. Just got home with my beautiful daughter Amelia Grace, who was born 27/09/12(41weeks) at 12:02pm by EMCS weighing 7lbs 1.5oz! 3 day labour which was exhausting, dilated all the way to 9cm but she was back to back and i failed to progress any further so had to go to theatre. So worth it though. Going to cuddle in on our first night home to saturday night tvGrin

Why not have a bath. I mean its not like baby isnt used to swimming around for the last 9 months is it?. just be careful what you do with the soap, dont want baby getting it in its eyes do we.

Congratulations Smile

I can't wait until my little girl is here but have to wait until March!

Markingthehours · 30/09/2012 18:51

Yes First Time just hormones. Is your milk in? Usually comes in about three days after birth... so would be about todayish?

Try not to worry, ris there anything specific bothering you (apart from no sleep and soreness!)?

Grannylipstick · 30/09/2012 20:31

Congratulations on your new little girl. Love the name. Sleep as much as you can. Forget housework shopping ironing etc. It will all wait.

LizaTarbucksAuntie · 02/10/2012 07:50

Congratulations - well done all of you.

It is just hormones (mostly :) ) Get those around you to spoil you rotten and cater for your every tiny whim1

Enjoy the adventure
