Ah ha ha h ah ah a ha

I'd promised myself (for my mental health) I would not click on any more Daily Mail links, but that has cheered me right up.

mrscumberbatch · 06/09/2012 23:14

lmfao that hilarious

Thistledew · 06/09/2012 23:15

And they picked one of the yoga poses that is absolutely impossible to do whilst pregnant as well. Good choice there.

5inthebed · 06/09/2012 23:16

I've just woke DH up with my laughing.

arthurfowlersallotment · 06/09/2012 23:20

Margerykemp · 06/09/2012 23:24

Yes the pictures and words don't exactly match up do they?

Don't the dm pay their picture editors enough?

Was this maybe someone on work experience?

Funny! But that article is horrible. The letter starting 'Right. So her first labour was 12 hours...' hits the nail on the head.

I was fortunate to have two relatively natural labours (although I did - shock horror! - expose my unborn DC1 to a morphine based drug), but I would never lecture people on how they should cope with childbirth. She doesn't once mention how mother and baby death rates have dropped compared with when these medical interventions weren't available; so much for perfect biological design.

FiveRingsForDinner · 06/09/2012 23:46

I've had 4 drug free labours (two inductions) - and I think the article is mysoginist propaganda. It's not even the 'natural childbirth is so much safer' angle - it's the 'have a bubble bath and do some stretches to ease the 'cramps'' angle.

Couldn't bring myself to read the article either as it would make me too angry but had to have a peek at the photos after your comments. WTH were they 'thinking'?!

HappySurfWidow · 07/09/2012 13:33

Hilarious!!!!!!! No wonder the DM is such a joke of a paper!

MimsyBorogroves · 07/09/2012 15:13

Wish I could have raised my leg that far without my pelvis splintering throughout pregnancy, let alone labour.
