How to change from ROA to LOA?

I'm 35 weeks and my baby's head is current in the ROA position. I remember this from last time- babies in this position are more likely to turn back to back, which is exactly what happened. Any tips on how to switch to LOA?

Help us out a bit: what does LOA and ROA stand for?

DS was ROA (Right Occiput Anterior.... I think! - means baby down the right hand side facing your back) and did indeed swing round to ROP (back-to-back - Rear Occiput Posterior) a couple of days before I went into labour.

Currently 38 wks with DC2 and she is also ROA. Hoping she doesnt do the same thing!!

Sleeping on your left side is recommended :)

Sorry "Right Occupit Posterior"

Agree with sleeping on your left. When sitting, keep knees lower than your pelvis (avoid lolling back in armchairs, sitting in car seats for too long etc), get on all fours (scrub the floor, anyone?!?!). For my Dc1 I spent the last few weeks of pregnancy sitting on a fitball as much as possible (watching tv, surfing the web etc). I also had a relatively easy delivery although that might be completely unrelated and just good luck. Hope baby shifts position and you get a straightforward delivery :)

Google optimal foetal positioning for more info.
