I think largely it depends on the reason for the cs/s.

I'm fairly pro vbac but keen on cfm. Have had two vbacs, with vbac2 ending up with brain damaged baby. Vbac1 was no picnic and almost ended up with emcs, but ultimately managed to deliver whilst they were prepping theatre. Ds was fine (ish although he has asd type issues) but I had to spend a week on my back in the hospital due to the undercarriage repairs required.

Vbac is a great option, but you do need to discuss carefully with your mw and get a debrief on the reasons for cs so that you can make an informed decision.

Should clarify that ds was vbac1. Dd2 was vbac2- she has cerebral palsy as a result of the birth hypoxia, although the actual labour and delivery was far more straightforward than vbac1. She was term but spent a long time in scbu and we weren't sure she was going to make it.

The only thing that should prevent a VBAC is something that would prevent a vaginal birth anyway.

I had a VBA2C last year and I have a special scar (mine is inverse T and as I had a premature baby it is into the upper sement, which is the highest risk scar) I was automatically a section but when I told them I didn't want it and they were great about it.
