How do/did you use this oil?
I'm thinking in the bath from 37 weeks. Is this too early? Should I only use it from 40?
Has anyone used it in labour?

Clary is a hormonal regulariser, it will not make you start labour if your hormones are not heading that way. It's not that strong. What it will do is help things along if you have a slow starting labour.

Wait until 39/40 weeks & then start using it regularly in baths with Lavender oil, it's great for back ache.

I am a trained clinical aromatherapist as well as a nurse-not a stealth boast just so you know I'm not talking crap!

PM me if you want any other hints on how to use it for child birth. Helped me with my 2!

I used it to try to get things going with dc2 and all it did was give me a headache, sorry! I was overdue and getting desperate so I used it in the bath, put some in an oil burner and rubbed it on my bump. The smell was quite horrible after a while and dd stayed put for a few more days!

I used it in labour, on a sponge, breathing it is with contraction, it was a good focus and because it was on a sponge, if I decided I didn't like it I could get rid of the smell easily (unlike a vapouriser)

I had lots of lavender in labour, on a cloth near my face, then, when the contraction were waning just as I needed them most to push, the midwives gave me clary sage. No idea if it helped but perhaps the idea that it might did.
