I'm booked in for induction on Tuesday 40+10 with my 3rd child. I've been induced twice before. The first time for pre eclampsia at full term and the second due to reduced movement at full term. The first time I was in for three days getting 3 prostagladin pessaries which did absolutely nothing due to a tilted cervix. I was then put on a drip and this started labour. The second time they just put me straight onto a drip and I delivered within 6 hours.
I had my midwife today and she said that the hospital would go through the full induction process including the pessaries. I can't face waiting in hospital for three days..I have two other kids to look after and they've just started school and nursery today. Can they not just start me on the drip. Do I have any say in what happens during my labour...I know I sound like i'm being impatient but I really can't face the ordeal of waiting in a hospital for it not to work, then be bollock tired and try to deliver a baby who is estimated at over 9lbs.
Help I need advice...Can I go in and demand just to go straight to drip???
