I know this might sound like a silly question but what is anyone planning to wear for labour? And for those who have already been there, what sort of garment worked for you and what didn't?

I've picked up two cotton, front-buttoning nighties from a charity shop. I've cut one of them to knee-length for birthing and I reckon the tops of them will both be okay for pix and suitable for allowing skin-on-skin straight after (assuming I actually keep one on!)

Both can go in the bin after I'm done with hospital, as far as I'm concerned!

With DD I was in a hospital gown, but it actually looked okay in the photos - you can hardly see it, anyway.

Large shirt /nightshirt and socks to keep feet warm!
