Restless legs and c-sections

Hi there.

I currently suffer from really bad restless legs every evening and night. I plan on having a natural birth but am worried that if I have to have a c-section for any reason that my restless legs will make an appearance during the procedure if it is during the evening or in the middle of the night. I know I would be numb from an epidural but does anyone know if you can still feel restless legs with an epidural in? I don't know how I would cope with having restless legs and not being able to move them!!!!

Thanks in advance!

I had restless legs with my first and joy ofjoys got it again with this pregnancy. Definitely didn't feel it during C sect but wasn't emcs and like you I suffer at night. As for afterwards when your body is sore mine went as soon as DD was born.

You can't feel your legs at all with c section anaesthesia. It wouldn't be a problem.

I suffer restless legs and had emcs last yr. no one mentioned me twitching or kicking the surgeon in the face. My legs were too heavy from anaesthetic anyway. Youll be ok Grin
