I can't offer any professional advice, but I hope to bump your thread for you if nothing else.
My dd was born with erbs palsy in her right arm/shoulder. She was 11lbs and born naturally. She got a tiny bit stuck.
After 2 trips to a child physiotherapist and 6-8 weeks after the birth, there was no noticeable difference in the use f her arms (and still isn't at 2 years old).
The only thing that I have been advised is that, should I have another child, they will be keeping a very close eye on the size and growth of the baby, and do more regular checks on my sugar levels as they think I may have had late onset gestational diabetes that they missed.
I hope you have someone with some helpful advice/information along soon.

I had a shoulder dystocia with DS1. It was horrific and he was born with apgars of zero. We were very lucky he did not suffer brain damage from the asphyxia. SD is potentially incredibly serious as you know. Second time I had a ELCS as DS2 was looking big although he was only 6 lb 8oz at 35 weeks (pre-eclampsia). The risk factors for SD are big baby, previous SD, diabetes and induction. I had all of these and they were guessing my percentage chance of having another was about 50%. It was a difficult call but I was very happy with my obstetrician's decision.

If you've already experienced SD then for your next pregnancy you will probably need to meet with consultant to discuss how to minimise risk of it happening again. This is what happened for me anyway, and FWIW I had a problem free second delivery.

My DS2 was born with DS. My consultant would not contemplate allowing me to deliver naturally again, Ds's 3&4 were born via CS.

I did ask to try for VBAC with DS4 but was quickly dissuaded.
