TMI alert - internal sensation

I had a C. Section 4 days ago, under spinal anaesthetic but they did put an epidural catheter in as well, in case the procedure turned out to be longer than expected, but it was unused and removed.

Since then I have had no problem weeing although it feels a little odd. Pooing was a bit more of an ordeal, but not because I am constipated, but because I can't push!!! I can't feel when, or where, I am pushing! I know I need to go and when I am actually going, and can control it (so I am not incontinent - thank Goodness) but the sensation of trying to push is really weird, almost like it isn't in the 'right' place.

Anyone heard of this/had it before? How long does it last? I know it's early days yet and imagine it will improve, much like the surface scar numbness will, but it is awful in the meantimeConfused

Sorry missing - no direct exp. I had a cs but can't comment on what you're feeling. Only advice to give is to maybe call your post-natal ward back and speak to them. Or one of the community mw's when they next come to visit.

It may well pass, but I'd get it checked out. They do move your insides about quite a lot when you have a cs. Plus always the risk of some nerve loss/damage which might not be letting you feel what you should be feeling.

Hope you get it sorted soon...

Congrats on your new LO btw!
