If you went into labour naturally more than once, how did the timing compare?

With DS1, I went into labour at 39+4, so I was kind of hoping this time around it would be similar (or even earlier).

39+4 today, and nothing is happening. I'm very sure of my dates for each pregnancy, so don't think that's the reason. I know all pregnancies are different, and even different for the same woman, and I've no business being annoyed because I'm not even overdue yet!

So please indulge and distract me, how big a variation did you have if you went into labour naturally 2 or more times?

I know how you feel. I had dd1 at 38+4. I'm now 38+6 and absolutely gutted as I was convinced dc2 would be around same time.

Both a week early

spanky2 · 20/07/2012 20:05

ds1 10 days early, 5lbs15 and HUNGRY!!!!!!
ds2 3 days late 6lb13 and chilled.
Whole birth completely different. Ds2 much easier, had upset tummy for a day, didn't poo myself (unlike ds1Blush) arrived at hospital at 10 cm, took 20 mins to get him out unlike ds1 which was 2 hours and an episiostomy!

Ds1 born at 3.56, ds2 at 3.45.

Good luck and I'm secretly jealous as I love babies!
