Anyone else with pelvic floor issues after first pregnancy?

6 months postpartum and still suffering stress incontinence (running, jumping, sneezing = problematic)

How usual/unusual is this? And what does it means for future pregnancies?

Has anyone started a new pregnancy with similar issues?

Terrified I'll end up with a prolapse or be incontinent throughout next pregnancy Sad

I had mild stress incontinence and a moderately sized cystocoele after DC1. Gynae physio was AMAZING! now 38 weeks PG with DC2, minor stress incontinence since about 7 weeks (morning sickness with full bladder was horrific) but not really got any worse and fine unless I puke/sneeze with a full bladder.

Get yourself to the GP and get a referral to gynae physio

I'm seeing a physio but hasn't done much yet. She uses a machine with electric currents and tells me to kegel while it's on. Encouraging to hear you are ok second time round.

I bought one of those electric stimulator things (on advice of physio) and used it daily for a couple of weeks - made a massive difference. Not allowed to use it in pregnancy but it really boosted the work I'd done with physio (cost about £50 I think)

Thanks. Just been looked them up on Amazon. Seem most of the reviews are by old ladies! makes me feel worse, ha ha, but will definitely out an order in.
