I am considering one as I have had tearing issues in the past, but I have no idea what sort of money we are talking about!

some IMs do different packages depending on what you want.

if i had my time again, i'd have one for my first child, but i didn't know anything about childbirth then...

Eek. Moving on...

I have actually had two babies on the NHS, - fourth degree tear with dc1, opted for a vaginal birth for dc2 and had an episiotomy. Am now just trying to make the decision again and what I would really love is someone who really takes the time to understand it all with me and take me through a birth where I can push slowly and not tear. Someone who understands my symptoms and can act accordingly. The NHS doesn't have time for that I dont think. Anyway, it's irrelevant as we would have to use all our savings to pay for an IM it would seem so maybe not!
Sorry you got it so wrong Gunz.
