Quick - which TENS?

Appreciate any help with this.

I'm 38 weeks so need to get a move on. I'd rather hire. Obviously need next day delivery.

Prefer something very very simple to operate and only for labour so don't need complicated functions.

Many tia.

I hired an Elle tens from Birthease.

Good customer service and I think the hire rate is one of the lowest that I found.

The tens is simple to use and I found it effective (had a different model for DC1).

Thank you. I'll have a look at that site.

I hired one from Nct. It was great

StarlightMcKenzie · 27/05/2012 19:13

Too late to hire from the NCT surely?

I bought a Mama TENS from eBay - it saw me through 30 hours of induction on the drip - I would recommend it to anyone.

Will they not have one in the labour ward? When in labour with ds they gave me one but I have to say I hated it, maybe call the ward and find out. No use spending money on one if you can just borrow.

Thanks but I'm having a homebirth.

I got one through Boots, which was very good, and quick period from ordering to store pickup..and don't forget spare batteries.
and also duct tape to keep the pads in place when you are sweaty, worked a treat for me!

readyforno2 · 27/05/2012 21:13

Sorry didn't realise.

StarlightMcKenzie · 27/05/2012 21:13

I think I got one from boots last time, but they seem to have this wierd thing where you buy a box in th store then ring a number and then pay extra for next day delivery by card.

It's. Bit Confused

I got an Elle tens and found it really good. Got me right up to transition for my homebirth then I was in the pool for the rest.

StarlightMcKenzie · 27/05/2012 21:14

That's alright ready. However, isn't it a bit late to be starting to use one when you get to the labour ward?

I had been contracting for around a week and was finally kept in after being diagnosed with preeclampsia. Very slow progressing so they suggested the tens as I refused anything else. I just found it really annoying, didn't want anything or anyone touching me.

Iwantcandy · 27/05/2012 22:17

I ordered mine late from Nct and paid a few quid extra for next day delivery
