Hello, I'm currently 40+1.. went to 40+17 with my ds and desperately don't want to go through that again.. I put off induction & then eventually gave in.

The main problem this time is that my scan date puts me at 40+8 today so they're talking induction next week (I KNOW I'm right about being due this wk cos of when I ov'd & when dh & I dtd) Anyway, just feeling a bit down & don't have faith that my body can do it by itself so please tell me positive stories!

fliss I know, this is what I did with ds but going into hospital every day for ctg & scan wasn't fun, I eventually gave in to induction at +17 & actually only needed the propess & he was born a few hours later (forceps though)
Really would love to avoid all those hospital trips (esp with 2yo in tow now) & consultants & be able to give birth on mlu... Come on baby!

Thought you might be interested to know that labour did start spontaneously! 41+6 by scan date, 40+6 by my dates..
With a bit of help from some acupuncture, contractions started & my 10lb ds2 born Tuesday night, the last day I was allowed on the mlu, yippee! Thanks all for giving me hope.

Aw, congratulations! I do love it when a plan comes together Grin

(although 10lbs, phewee - I think I'd have preferred a C section for that!)
