Visitors after c-section?

Hi

How soon is it sensible to arrange for family to visit after a section? I'm booked for a section on Wednesday but the hospital are unable to give a time so could be first think or late afternoon I guess. Will I be 'up' for visitors that evening do you think?

Mum and Sister will be desperate to meet our twins but I'm wondering whether inshould ask them to come the following day? I'd be interested to know how others felt after their sections.

Thanks

I was still very sleepy from the ga with my section, had ds at 1 in the afternoon, and mil, step fil came that evening around 5ish, i can't remember much tbh, so not really bothered about it (grin)

I felt fine the next day, and had my catheter removed and had a shower by the time other visitors came, none overstayed their welcome, however they all came at once, just as the 8th person popped into view and i felt a bit claustrophobic a mw came by to say only 4 around the bed at a time, so some of them went to the cafe.
fil annoyed me a bit by plonking himself in the chair where i wanted dh to sit, next to me etc, but he is the only one i find a little irritating.

This time, (planned section) i will have just mil and step fil the day of the section as they are having ds in the afternoon, but i don't mind them seeing me rough as a badgers arse Smile
Any other visitors will have to wait until i am home and have an invitation.

I had dd at 9.30 in the morning (ELCS) and had in laws (with toddler ds) visit around 2pm - was fine. I got up later that evening and got a shower etc.
