Right... just a hypothetical here.
My EDD from LMP is 13th June (but I have a 24/25 day cycle).
My EDD based on when I think I conceived is 9th June (one off event that month... but that obviously only takes account of the day we actually had sex when this doesn't really give info on ov and was CD 11).
I had an early scan because of bleeding which estimated date as 17th June.
My EDD from private scan (NF done at 11 weeks 6 days) is 11th June
My EDD from NHS scan (done at 14 weeks) is 9th June.
I think, from this, the likely due date is around the 12th or 13th... but because my NHS "official" due date is 9th June my induction date would be the 23rd if I went over as I did last time which is only 10/11 days over I reckon.
My last induction was after my waters went, so it wasn't just post-dates.. but that was at CD 13 and to be honest, the induction wasn't bad.. but my body was obviously more or less "there" so to speak. I don't want a situation where I am induced for "post-dates" when there's no need.
Now I know you don't HAVE to have an induction for post-dates anyway, but I just wondered how amenable hospital staff are to changing a due date when you've got good evidence that it's probably not accurate anyway? I have been quite anxious this pregnancy and the truth is if I have people start on me with tales of stillbirth and other stuff if I decline a post-dates induction on the 23rd, I will cave (and probably freak too).
I have a consultant's appointment at 36 weeks and I am wondering if it would be worth talking to them about changing my date officially?
(Mind you, having said all this baby's head is apparently currently measuring 36 weeks on scan so it might be a bad thing to be pushing for extra time!)
