Sounds like a show!!! unless you sneezed spectacularly in your knickknicks

Don't be scared, don't forget the pain goes away between contractions so you have chance to catch your breath and although it isn't always plain sailing there is such a thing as an easy birth!

good luck - so exciting!

Just don't do what I did and leave reading the TENs machine instructions to the last minute, if you haven't done that yet nows the time! Wink

It could also be a while yet - even days (!) so don't panic. Grin

Think i'm scared as seem to be having mild contractions but could be strong bh. Worried about when to take it seriously being as dc3 I wasn't sure then all of a sudden huge contraction and half an hour later he was out. Quick and straight forward but the worst pain I've ever experienced, so I'm terrified. Haven't had a Tens machine yet maybe should have got one could bought late now.

All I can think is make it until 7 so the children are tucked up in bed and then I'm not worrying about them.

Don't be scared :) I've done it before and coped and I'm the biggest wuss I know

FWIW I'm 40+5 and have been having pant snot for a few days so as GinPalace says - panic not.

Ah I see !

So you don't so much need a midwife as wicket keeper? Grin

Well I have heard from lots of sources that the 3rd labour is always the worst regardless of how many children you actually end up with, so hopefully this one will be better.

given how it went last time, think you should alert the necessary people and at least have them on stand by then if the kids aren't tucked up yet you will still be able to relax.

Good luck.

Was about to post on your other thread about raspberry leaf tea and seen this one. It sounds like it is a show and you are totally right to be terrified. However, there's no point getting stressed out about something you cant control. As soon as your LO's are in bed and if your not in established labour try to do something that helps you relax, whether its watching a favourite tv show or having a bath.

Also, I would say that as your last DC have arrived very quick it would be better to have a couple of 'false alarms' with braxton hicks - no midwife is going to think you are being silly if your history shows fast labours.

Good luck.

Thank you cravingcake, love the name btw.

Well I was convinced something was happening, really intense tightenings, backache. That combined with my emotional meltdown, number two time trips and possible show.

But it all seems to have passed now.

No matter what, it sounds like it wont be far away so you do need to find some way of relaxing before the new arrival (near impossible with 3 DC already I'm sure).

Maybe go over what/how you plan to sort child care arrangements (i.e. first option is mum or in-laws, second option is good friend or neighbour until parents arrive etc) for when you do go into labour, repack your hospital bag etc to help you feel in control of some things.

Try not to worry about what you cant change or have control over and be as prepared as possible for everything else.
