I am due for a c-section in two weeks time, does anyone know of anywhere I can get some breathable comfortable pants from?

I just used cheap cotton, granny pants and binned them after use. I got them from Matalan. Oh and make sure you buy them in a huge size.

Good luck!

Primark. 5 pairs for about £2

Yep, same. Got some huge granny pants that come up to the waist so totally avoid the c 'line' (usually wear bikini pants, but these would've been agony). Have to be large to get around your 'waist' - I think I got a size 20 and I am usually a 12! Tesco value ones I think.

The belly-button height ones from Primark are good, they are now my leg wax pants.

I also had the hospital style mesh pants (I think they were from the JoJo catalogue, possibly made by carriewell?). They were nice and fresh in the early days when I was sweating out all the post pregnancy / cs hormones.

Asda ones for me. already packed mine just in case i don't escape with a vbac this time!

strangely i remember the MW in recovery being impressed that I'd brought big ones as my cs wasn't planned!

BlueEyeshadow · 25/03/2012 22:24

NCT shop do the mesh ones too.

Jojo Maman Bebe has a set of washable mesh pants-5 for 8 pounds. I used them and a set of M&S granny pants together. The mesh pants protected the incision and the M&S ones gave extra support. Also, on the advice of some wise MNetter I used a maternity pad across the incision for the first ten days as well. Made a huge huge difference while getting in and out of bed and for coughing and sneezing.

I used large sized tena lady pants for first couple of days after recommendation on here. They are high waisted and soft and you can tear them off so less bending down needed. Those and then granny pants from m&s when I got home.

I am already huge so not sure how to get oversized pants!
Do the tena lady ones act as a pad too or do you still need maternity pads? I like the idea of tear-off pants (and, in another lifetime, so would DH!)

Anchorwoman · 26/03/2012 21:49

They (tena pants) have an integrated pad so all in one. Nice and comfy.

igggi · 26/03/2012 21:50

Thanks, Anchorwoman. Maybe I will send DH out to buy them Grin
