if you had an ECV to try and avoid a c-section, how was the actual birth for you?

I'm just musing on this as DD2 was breach, ECV at 38 weeks, followed by vaginal delivery, BUT she was in a funny position, hand up by her head and her shoulder got stuck.

Are babies who are turned through ECV more likely to be in a funny position and have a bit of a difficult birth?

Depending on the breach position I would probably attempt a VB without trying to turn the baby.

I prefer being left alone tbh and think that interference isn't always best.

I'm not sure. I've never had one but a lady across the road had one with her 2nd child and she said that the birth was fab.

I had ECV for breech - and yes DS was slightly stuck - needed ventouse delivery but to be honest it wasn't too bad and I've avoided a cs recovery - despite the ventouse and 2nd degree tear I didn't even need an epidural - just the local anaesthetic - I was up and about going to the loo and a shower 2 hours after delivery.
