Is feeling really antsy and on edge a sign of imminent labour?

Go on, indulge me, I could have 5 weeks of these threads yet Wink I feel odd. I'm 37 weeks and have been having braxton hicks for weeks and generally feeling a bit rubbish, with low iron levels and just a general feeling of hitting that wall. But today I feel weird. I feel on edge for no reason, jumpy and adrenaliny, I just can't sit still. I also feel like I'd like nothing more than to just get in a cold shower and stay there, I suddenly feel really constricted by my clothes, which I know I did in labour with ds. I also feel a bit odd (sorry) in the fanjo area, I know baby is right down and so putting pressure there which probably explains it.
Ds has been ill since the weekend so it does occur to me that I may just be coming down with something and feeling a bit 'off'. But did anyone feel like this before labour kicked off?

That's why i've told noone irl my true due date Wink I'm well versed in the 'no I haven't had it yet, sod off' conversation for days and days after my due date, I'm having none of it this time round. I've gone from desperation to get him out to a desperation that he stays put this morning, he's flipped again and appears to be transverse again :( My bump looks ridiculous. It's something about me stretching out in the bath I think that gives him ample room to move. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow anyway so I'm hoping they can actually give me a definate 'head up, down or sideways' verdict this time. I'm beginning to think the only way they'll make him stay put is to do some kind of manipulation and then break my waters straightaway, which is something my midwife discussed about a month ago but I had discounted since he seemed happily back to back for the last few weeks. Reading up about different presentations, it would seem my lax stomach muscles may be to blame Blush, with dd, my first, I was enormous and carried lots of fluid, with ds I was enormous again, so even though I weigh less now at full term than I did with either of them pre pregnancy(!) my stomach is shot.

Yes, I'm beginning to wish I'd fabricated my due date to friends and family! Hopefully he won't come while he's transverse - at least you have a midwife appointment tomorrow, I hate it when things happen and it's a while until a scheduled appointment as I don't like being a burden. Good luck though :)
