Hi gave birth to DS 3 weeks ago and had a negative labour experience and feel if one of rhe midwives had done things differently it wouldn't have been negative at all. My DP, mum and his mum all think I should write a letter to hosp abt it but I'm not sure. I dread people asking me my labour story cos I might cry talking about it. I spent first 2 weeks after going over and over it and crying about it. If I posted my experience on here would people advise me if it was a normal labour experience? I feel I need some kind of closure so I can move on.

Hi Galmourmama, I didn't want to leave you hanging - I'm no expert on this, but I think if you put up your story, there are a lot of mnetters with great advice on exactly this kind of thing. They may be able to help you and give some good advice.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but it's really great that you are thinking about how to make it into something more positive. Congratulations on your DS.

Hi Glam, congrats first of all on your DS! Grin

I think perhaps if you are up to posting your exp on here it may help, both in terms of actually putting it down and the support that no doubt the MN community can offer you.

Have you spoke to your health visitor about how you are feeling? I think you definitely need to get councelling/support to help you deal with your experience.

Good luck and remember that when you look at your DS, you and your DH have created and brought into the world an amazing little miracle and no one can take that achievement away from you! Smile
