Had a show at 10:00 am , and brown discharge on my undies all day , and have been getting bad period pains every couple of minutes , lasting only for about 20 secs. Proper contractions will be far more painful and last longer won't they ?

great news!!! Congratulations.

(I remember that look too. I really thought my DH was going to faint when I got taken for the emergency caesarian)

Enjoy your little newbie, its a fantastic and scarey time Xmas Grin. I will just put a word in for shock too. The delay is unexpected and I found my DD's first birthday quite an interesting time for mixed emotions.

Thank goodness for midwives and hospitals!

Congratulations, that's great news, and hurray for monitoring

The lack of sleep is normal, I know it's horrible but just get through as best you can with lots of cuddles of your little girl, and once you get home you'll forget the horribleness of the hospital in a flash : )

Congratulations, Make time to sleep as soon as you get home it's so important and enjoy your newborn snuggles.
