Didnt want to leave you sat in hospital waiting for a response!

Firstly massive congratulations on your little girl!

Just wanted to reassure you, it will all calm down - maybe not tomorrow but it will calm down. I had exactly the same feelings your having now when my little girl was born. I too had pre eclampsia and they had to go in to get her out - the whole event was really traumatic and i was in and out of hospital like a yo yo! Your blood pressure should go down over the next few weeks!

What i got told was its better to be in hospital with all the meds to keep you safe and well than at home without them. So even though I know you wont feel like it now, try and relax and enjoy the time with just you and your baby girl and the reassurance and on tap help the hospital can give you.

Hope that helps and congratulations again on becoming a mum! Its all worth it I can assure you!!!!

Congratulations on your DD!

I don't have any experience of pre-eclampsia but can imagine the shock of your DD arriving so suddenly.

Have you got anyone to talk it through with? Do you want to write down what happened here?

Not surprised you are in shock, I think I would be too. It will calm down and you are doing the right thing by being in hospital and sorting it out.

Make sure you have plenty of help lined up for when you are home so that you can rest as much as possible then too.

There is some info here for you and if you want to talk to someone about your shock have a look at the Birth Trauma Association.

Congratulations Thanks
