Noone seems to have responded to this question so far.
Ariel, have you looked at the product reviews on mumsnet?
There is a good review of double buggies, which shows a picture of each one, and gives a rating by mumsnet contributors. There are lots of different designs, so there is bound to be one which will suit both your daughter and the new baby.
Good luck with your pregnancy.

Ariel... Does your daughter qualify for a maclaraen from the OT department? surely if she is nearly 4 and needsa buggy for whatever reason then she should have oine? I have just been told I can have one for my almost 4 yr old who has complex medical problems and can't walk far. I be,
lieve there is a double maclaren buggy which would suit you. Try going through whichever professipoona;l involved with your child is the most supportive... hopefully you've got enough time to sort it before your baby arrives. Also its free!
IF that doesn't work for any reason then your best bet is to try the real allterrain buggies.. THere is a special needs department for EG baby joggers via little green earthlets. You might as well get something that will last you if as you're going to need it for a good while. A normal double buggy isn't designed to carry the weight of a 4 yr old and a baby as it would ruin the frame v quickly ( unless she's v little... my son is on the 20th centile and that still counts as too big..) Try to get peolpe to send you things on trial as I don't think ( anyone know) there are many places with a good range to visit?
GOOD LUCK... I really do think you should get NHS support for this...
