I had my daughter 2 years ago by planned c.section. She was breech throughout my entire pregnancy and because she was measuring a small baby they decided to give me a section and not risk trying to move her due to her size.
So im now pregnant with my second and im wondering whether or not ill be elected another section? I would be pleased as my first went so well and was a lovely experience.
I know natural birth is what my body is made for but its really scaring me the thought of natutal birth. Are their risks of a vaginal birth after perviously Having a caesarean?
Thank you x

There are risks of scar rupture, but they are fairly low. In my hospital they would not induce you if you had had a previous CS (as this can lead to faster labour and higher risk of rupture). Also i was told i would have to have continuous fetal monitoring (CFM) and therefore couldn't have a waterbirth.
However I think other hospitals have different protocols.

I ended up having an elective the second time as i had had a lovely CS experience with DD1 (for placenta praevia) and was happy that i knew what i had to do/recovery etc whereas a VB would have been very much an unknown. If you do want a VB without CFM or specific requests, you will need to get your consultant to write it all in your notes that (s)he is happy with the approach and it is all 'signed off' otherwise you may find a battle on your hands when you turn up in labour.

I had a CS after a 1st planned CS. The 2nd was an emergency under GA, but that was nothing to do with the 1st CS and it would have been planned if it hadn't ended up as an emergency.

You can choose VBAC but you are entitled to have a CS if you want. Previous CS is a medical indicator for a second CS due to the risk of rupture (which as Sazz said are low, but do exist).

If the scar issue bothers you, my scar is horrific a little less neat after the 2nd one, though that could be because it was emergency and they just hacked at me.

You will probably have a choice this time. They will probably encourage you to try for a vaginal birth if the baby isn't breech this time.
I had two emergency c sections as I didn't dilate enough.
I'm sure your midwife will go through it all at your appointment.
