I have lavender oil, that I put in oil burner. Can I use the same stuff for in my bath, or is it something different?

Is there anything else anyone suggests for stitches?

Don't know about lavender oil - I used tea tree oil (a few drops) in the bath and it worked a treat.

squinker45 · 10/09/2011 19:45

Yes same stuff

greyfurrybaby · 10/09/2011 21:14

Lavender oil is great in the bath. Use about 5 or 6 drops in the water but be sure to mix it with half a cup of milk first.

RockChick1984 · 11/09/2011 21:54

I put 3 drops of lavender oil, and 3 drops of tea tree into a small amount of milk and put that in my bath each day. Milk helps it to mix otherwise the oils just float aimlessly on the surface of the bath water!

... and softens your skin! Bonus!

hazchem · 18/09/2011 14:55

yep all for the lavender and tea tree ( with milk) in the bath.
Also the withchazel is excellent on maternity pads and then frozen. nice and cooling!

sleepevader · 19/09/2011 18:38

Nannyl- congrats. Glad home birth went ok!

nannyl · 19/09/2011 21:13

thanks..... it was amazing.

no painrelief and hardly any pain either..... only 1 midwife made it as it was so fast!
all credit to natal hypnotherapy IMO Smile

squinker45 · 19/09/2011 22:04

Wow I need some of that hypnotherapy then - what is it? am 34 weeks, hoping for a birth like you had! Congrats!

nannyl · 20/09/2011 09:29

heres the website

i did preg relaxation from 16 weeks, home birth prep from 32 weeks. and read the book cover to cover.... you HAVE to believe in it too.

i used homeopathy, evening primrose oil aromatherapy as part of my preparation aswell but no time to practise during labour (as planned) or listen to brithING cd or use birth pool as labour was too quick

squinker45 · 20/09/2011 15:23

thanks so much will check it out
