I'm exclusively bf and got AF after 4 months. Really didn't expect that til I stopped ebf!

14 months and no sign yet- LO is eating three meals a day and having four to five feeds a day. just stopped feeding a night in the last week, so am hoping it won't be long - want to start TTC!

thefurryone · 12/09/2011 06:07

3 months, DS does get 1 bottle but does 't sleep through, I was a bit gutted.

debka · 12/09/2011 10:59

6mo when she started sleeping through and eating solid food. Am now considering getting pg again just to get rid of the periods!

TheNationalTruss · 12/09/2011 11:02

13 weeks. Was bfing at least 2hrly day and night from birth, no dummies etc.

AnotherMuesliPleaseBarman · 12/09/2011 15:55

13 months, pretty soon after stopping BF

Conkertree · 12/09/2011 16:02

6 weeks with both dc - both (especially ds1) fed a lot at night, and were ebf so I think its just the luck of the draw.

cookcleanerchaufferetc · 13/09/2011 06:51

2 1/2 months .... Was only holiday and so gutted! Was bf.

Iwasagnome · 13/09/2011 06:59

Never did after DS1 but did get DS2 so watch out!!!

ComradeJing · 13/09/2011 07:06

Still not got it. Finished BF just over a month ago and DD is 9 months.

msbuggywinkle · 13/09/2011 08:52

DD1 23mths

DD2 21mths

Have only had one period each time before conceiving the next baby (preg with DD3 now) am not looking forward to regular periods again!

NinkyNonker · 13/09/2011 20:23

Am still bf (dd is 13mo), my period came back reliably at around 6 months. I'm pregnant again now so something must be working!

I'm with iwasagnome - be careful. Unexpected ds4 on the way in 6 weeks and LMP was around June 2009. Midwives computer says 'no' to that date. What with the lack of period plus the limited sex that 3 toddlers/babies allows God must have had some part to play in his conceptionGrin

LuckyC · 14/09/2011 13:57

8 months.

It arrived with the 17 months' worth of PMT that I had skipped during pregnancy and BF. 'Mood swings' - ha. Psychotic lunatic-style personality shifts, more like. Was shit. And was at Christmas.

RegLlamaOfBrixton · 15/09/2011 10:36

8 weeks! Grrr...

Was EBF.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 15/09/2011 12:31

About 18 months, sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.

If it makes you feel any better my friend has ebf 4DC and always got hers 4 weeks after giving birth.

Milkybrew · 15/09/2011 12:42

4 weeks and a day! DD is EBF! I was not impressed! I am still EBFing her and the week my period arrives I am totally worn out, it's horrid!

soandsosmum · 15/09/2011 21:08

I dont mind. Having TTC for nearly 3 years before DD1, I'm happy to get going on no 2 pretty soon. nice to know my body's working IYKWIM

DS is nearly 21 weeks and no sign of AF yet. He was ebf til 15 weeks and has had 1 bottle of formula a day since then. He still feeds once through the night though and I had the contraceptive implant fitted when he was 13 or 14 weeks, so my body is likely thoroughly confused!

Trazzletoes · 20/09/2011 19:50

Period started couple of weeks after stopping b-feeding.

elliejjtiny · 20/09/2011 23:15

6-7 weeks each time. My friend who FF got hers back before me!

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 21/09/2011 15:43

PP bleeding stopped at four weeks, AF returned two weeks later. DS was EBF and fed A LOT. He is still BF (nearly one) and I am preg with DC2. He was still on about 8-10 feeds a day (all day and night) when I concieved, but he has dropped down to one at night now.

My mum EBF me and was pregnant with Dsis by the time I was 4m. Her mum EBF my aunty and was preg with my mum by the time she was 3m old!! I'm surprised it took me so long Grin
