I have a friend who is a reflexologist who says the spot to rub is infront and below the "dimple" on your inner ankle.

...to which I cackle with laughter, as my feet have been so swollen for months that I haven't seen anything that resembles a dimple or an ankle really for that matter since July!

iris66 · 16/11/2005 17:54

...or 4 fingers widths up from your ankle along the inside of your achilles tendon (Spleen 6 - stimulates/tones the womb). I'm a reflexologist too

sorry - should add that it's an acupressure poin rather than anything to do with pure reflexololgy.

softmusk · 16/11/2005 18:39

if this is done is it likely to bring on labour

Used in conjunction with other points it can certainly help (and is a point I always avoid in early pg) but babe's only going to come when it's cooked!

softmusk · 17/11/2005 18:05

Softmusk - if I knew I'd be doing it myself!!!!
Various therapies can help to prime the hormone & reproductive systems for labour but I've yet to come across anything that will force the issue naturally (and am inclined to think that anything that claims to is probably best avoided - they don't take you into hospital for induction for no reason!) HTH
