Hi im 38+3 with DC3 and had a bloody show thursday morning then yesterday morning i had clot like show which the midwife said was the end of my show but today the show has stopped completely and still no baby. So after 2 midwives convincing me it was a really good sign and meant things were starting to happen now nothing at all :(

Anyone got any experience with this?

with my DD1 i had a show friday morning, then more saturday night, then nothing sunday, started labour mon teatime and delivered tuesday morning so could be soon! Although you can lose show weeks before, the fact you're quite far gone is encouraging!

You can have a bloody show anything up to a couple of weeks before delivery. They also happen right before/during labour. Sadly, you just don't know which category yours falls into.

Won't be long now. I know it doesn't feel like it but you're nearly there.

Thanks for reply.

Oh thats good to know that you still went into labour quite soon after it stopped. I didnt get a show like this with my last 2 so its all a bit scary.

Thanks turtles.

Its just so annoying that the midwives keep saying its a really good sign it means things are happening then to just stop is annoying especially since ive had braxtons and back ache since last Sunday.

If only every pregnancy was like in films eh.

But if you think about it something is happening. Not as quickly as you'd like but the fact that you've had a show means that everything's edging in that direction.

If it was a film your waters would break spectacularly right about now, probably in a department store, your best gal pal and you would hail a taxi and make a hilarious yet mad dash to the hospital where swarms of staff will attend you. Your dp/dh/significant other would turn up breathless at the nth hour and you would effortlessly push your child into the world without disturbing a hair on your head.

So... are you in a department store?

That cheered me up haha. Just getting ready now and heading to Tesco (closest we get to glamour round here).

Thanks for breaking me out of my self pity :o
