Clary sage?

Has anyone ever used this to try induce labour?
My dd is 40 weeks and on Saturday was 1cm.
She has painful back ache and cramps, but they disappear after a couple of hours.
This has been since Saturday.
Someone has suggested clary sage.

Has anyone tried it and what do you do with it?!

Thanks x

I used it last time to try and induce contractions after my waters broke, it does seem to get contractions going, I had a mix of essential oils with clary sage in (cause I don't really like the smell !) and rubbed it on my bump

it doesn't induce labour though ! just gets the contractions really going as you're supposed to really use it when labour in in full swing, like in the birth pool or as a massage oil

good luck hope things start moving soon !!

I sniffed it a lot when I was almost 2 weeks overdue. Tried a lot of other things as well, but I went into labour naturally the evening of 40 + 13 so escaped induction. Crazy things I tried were:
Sweep
Pineapple
Curry
Castor oil
Clary sage
Star jumps
Nipple stimulation
Something helped or else it was just my time Grin

I tried this but to be honest it didn't do anything other than make me feel a bit odd and intensify my braxton hicks for a couple of hours. On the other hand the friend who recommended it to me swears it sent her into labour.

No idea! I snorted it like mad and gave birth at 40+2. Might have worked. Can't stand the smell of it now!
