I'm almost 36 weeks and for past 24 hrs I've felt wet, sticky and felt gushes of fluid from my vagina when I stand up from sitting or lying down. It feels a bit like when your on your period. It's only a small amount but definately there.
Yesterday I put a panty liner on and when I felt wet I took it off, and there was a dry patch where the liner had been but around it was all wet.
I've not had any large gushes but wasn't sure.. I guess it could be wee, sweat..discharge?

Any thoughts please xx

This sounds like when my waters went. Can you call your midwife? I had trickles and small gushes, no huge gush.

Best to get checked - when labour didn't start when my water had been broken for 24 hrs I was induced because of risk of infection.

Good luck.

Hi this happened to me too.

If only hind waters, panic not as they re-seal themselves. If it's not gushes then you're may well be ok, but get it checked out for sure.

If your waters have well and truly gone, then be aware induction isn't you're only option and you could either wait and see or ask for antbiotics instead. Measuring your temp. at home regularly is also an option and though NICE reccommends the OFFER of induction after 24 hours, the research on which this is based has remained unchanged from when about 90 hours was more the time that induction should be offered as an option.

So don't panic! Hopefully just your hind waters and your body will deal with this itself.

This is how my waters went in both pg - you can tell if it is your waters as they smell almost sweet.....

Would be worth calling your m/w or labour ward to ask advice

Sounds like hind waters. They either reseal, or a bigger, proper rupture of membranes occurs soon after (in my experience).

Would ring your midwife so she's up to speed.
