I ate a huge plateful of cold raw vegetables an hour after giving birth Blush

Anything you can pack easily. I took mini cheddars, alpen & hobnob flapjack bars plus apples & grapes & cartons of fruitjuice. Was very glad of this stash when ended up stuck in hospital for 5 days. I didn't feel like enjoying food for weeks after the birth, I didn't bother with my dream smoked salmon, moules marinere & pink champagne longed for whilst pg dream meal!

Lots of fruit - that first movement needs a little help! Grin

One enormous chicken sandwich, washed down with two glasses of champagne. I then promptly passed out.

My sisters thought I was mad taking food to the hospital with me (I had loads), but I was so damn grateful for it. All the midwives could rustle up was one very soggy egg sandwich - which is my worst nightmare. Admittedly it was 9pm by the time I got back to the ward, so I wasn't expecting much.

I was so hungry, any food was a good thing. The tea and toast in my MLU tasted wonderful - after those I polished off one of the cereal bars and a few jelly babies I'd bought to see me through labour (which I didn't need!).

I got my DP to bring me a Burger King. The staff probably looked down on us, but we didn't care.

P.S. I'm not normally into Burger King or that kind of food, but it was so good.

I got my mum to bring me KFC Blush

Cold cartons of orange juice. The nurses kept telling me to drink and asking how much I'd drank because of fluid loss. So a bottle of Ribena made the water better when it went luke warm.
