Which TENS?

Just realised (realise it's late) at almost 39 weeks that I'd like to hire a TENS machine - which one, though, hadn't realised there was so much choice?

TIA

As long as its a TENs for use in labour then it doesnt make too much difference I think.

I looked for the simplest one as I knew I didnt want to be fiddling around with buttons and settings in labour. I hired the Boots one first time around and bought a MamaTENs the second time as it looked simpler than the ElleTENs.

You might want to pick up some tape to stick the pads to your back as after 22 hours and 19 hours of labour mine started to detach.

I loved mine, I think you get a spare set of pads so you can try it a couple of weeks before your due date, which I would recommend-it felt wonderful but was quite different to actually using it in labour!

Hey again Pootletrinket- think our pregnancies seem to be following one n other...Grin

I did quite a lot of research and found some of the best reviews were for the Elle Tens. I posted a similar question the other day on MN and lots of ladies got back saying that they found this tens brilliant.

I have hired one from www.tens.co.uk

Its £19.99 including delivery for 6 weeks! Good-luck! Smile

i brought one from lloyds when i had my son and its all i used for pain relief so i reallt recommend it, as i waited until the pain was too bad before going to the hospital, but when i got there i was fully dialated so it must have been working

I hired the one from tesco which I think is the mamatens one on my due date and used it the same night. It was really, really (surprisingly) effective and way better than the boots one (sorry can't remember make) had for first 2 births.

Bought mamatens for my labour. really easy to use. Easy to carry and worked for most of the night.
