What happens if labour starts before ELCS date?

Ladymarian thank you for posting as this is a massive worry of mine. I have primary tokophobia, luckily have had great care from my MW and consultant and I also have my ELCS booked for 39 weeks, but I still live with fear and anxiety every day as I just don't believe I'll get to 39 weeks. My consultant has told me that unless the baby came VERY early (he said due to medical reasons they can't do c/s if baby is very prem unless it needs to be done etc) then they will still do the c/s for me. But I am so worried that I'd go into hospital, my consultant wouldn't be there and someone else would refuse it. So I've requested another app with him to try and get it confirmed that the c/s will HAVE to be done unless there is a genuine medical reason for them not to.
