First baby after 40, tilted cervix

Hello, PG with first. Am 42. Apparently have a 'very tilted cervix' as do all 3 or my sisters who all ended up with very difficult births due to this. Technically it is not supposed to be a problem but evidently it was to the women in my family.
Can anyone advise, due to my age and this I am nervous as one sister was in labour for 48 hours before EMCS and another had similar with forceps and ventouse etc. Whatever way the cervix is positioned the babies cant seem to get out naturally. Can anyone advise?

Your experience will be YOUR experience & you will zone out as nature intended & get through it regardless:) -

worrying about it, won't make it easier, just as finding out other experiences won't make it more difficult - just as the babies we bear, everyones labour experience is as individual as they will be, so do yourself a favour & don't listen to other peoples horror stories, theres something about an upcoming birth that just seems to bring out the worst in some other Mums as far as horror stories go - I remember hearing plenty myself & glad i took no notice, I did take notice of the useful tips others passed on though - such as counting to 60 with contractions, because no contraction lasts more than a minute & it takes your mind off it :)

Whatever your experience, you'll get through it & your over riding memory won't be how long, how much pain etc, but will be the first time you set eyes on your child - trust me - you will be fine :)

& thats coming from a Mum who was almost the same age & situationWink
