Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:25

That's probably true.

And then some are just cunts. :o

ragged · 29/03/2011 23:25

How far away is the hospital? Do you know where to park, etc.?

architien · 29/03/2011 23:25

Mama you're a pro at this and you can completely trust your instincts. I'm excited for you.

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:26

Sorry mamabump, will focus on you now rather than bitch about MWs :)

DoodleAlley · 29/03/2011 23:26

Can't do a link as on iPhone and am technically useless (or perhaps that should be useless at technical stuff, not that I'm not also technically useless!) but there's a thread in the active threads entitled 'dd and I had bad day..." or something similar and she's asking for jokes and it's full of classic bad jokes if you fancy something to amuse for a moment..

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:27

Oh that one is funny!! Hang on, I'll find it.

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:27

pixiestix · 29/03/2011 23:29

Can you have a bath to help with the panicky feelings?

mama2plusbump · 29/03/2011 23:30

Thanks for posting the link jacksmania. You can't go wrong with bad jokes. Well off to bed I'm afraid as DH is hinting loudly that mn will still be here tomorrow!

Can you cook or bake something, just make some pastry, do laundry or tidy the kitchen?

You WILL come back and update us what happened, right? We want weight time and gory details Grin

Sorry, my third was the trickiest. I went to bed about midnight with regular but mild ctx. Woke at 4am in the midst of an "almighty" ctx. Was a homebirth & MWs came about an hour later, took about an hour for baby to come out, but I tore a bit, bled a little too much, then my blood pressure dived. So they sent me to hospital, where, rehydrated and rested my BP recovered. I went home with no more than an iron prescription.

My most vivid memory post birth is me lying on the floor I felt so dizzy, & the supervisor mw in our dining room (where bubba born) cleaning my legs because they were caked with all matter of gunk, and I couldn't stand feeling so yucky (I have pretty minging personal hygiene habits in general, but even I have limits!).

TheVisitor · 29/03/2011 23:37

I'd be waking someone now. Sounds like that baby's determined that it's on the way. Grin

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:40

Yeah I think it's about time.

architien · 29/03/2011 23:42

I agree. How do you feel mama ? Do you think you've time to get there and get the room/midwives breifed as you'd want it?

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:42

Gf had her second last Weds - first one went way over, she had to be induced, horror show of a labour and delivery. This one, I rang her at 10:30 am to chat and check in (8 days overdue) and she said she'd been having "yucky period pains" every 10-15 mins. Couldn't talk through them, walking and a bath made them worse. Told her "ermmm, I think you're in labour :o. She said Shock "what?". Went to hosp, arrived 9 cms dilated, baby born at 12:30 pm :)

NonnoMum · 29/03/2011 23:46

I'd be sorting out your childcare and thinking about going...

" 'sciting!"

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:47
mama2plusbump · 29/03/2011 23:47
