SPD 5 months after birth - who to see?

I know there are lots of threads about this but I'm getting in a muddle.

I'm trying to help myself but it's getting so expensive so I need to know if I'm on the right track.

I've had SPD/PGP since late pregnancy (was on crutches) and am still suffering 5 months post birth.

I have seen:

GP lots (painkillers and referrals)
Midwife (referrals)
NHS Physio (belt, crutches and exercises)
Private orthopedic consultant (MRI scan and told to do pilates)

I'm now seeing a private physio (self funding at £50 per hour!)

But how do I know this is the best person to see vs an osteopath or chiropracter?

All this money and it might not make a jot of difference!

I saw an osteopath after I had PFB. That was about 4 or 5 months post-natal. Maybe give it a go. There's an Osteopath in North London that is run by a charity and deals with children and post-natal women. As its a charity you only have to make a donation of what you can afford. I always gave half of what a normal session would cost as DH wasn't working at the time. Not sure about Chiropractic, I don't know anyone who's ever had it but I think its a bit more agressive than Osteopathy which is all about gentle manipulation and re-directing the flow of energy through the body or something....

Osteopaths get more training and tend to be more holistic, looking at muscles and organs as well as the skeleton. I choose an oseopath over a chiro if that's what the choice is.

Inwent to an osteo 3 months after having ds with spd that was gradually getting worse as he got heavier. She sorted me out in 3 sessions at a cost of £30 each. If I get pregnant again I'm going at the first hint of a twinge!
