Link between spd support belts and breech?

I know this is early (I'm only 22+3) but I'm using a Serola belt for SPD and back pain. So far, all movement has been consistently low down (I know there's plenty of time!).

This all happened with dc3 too and he was turned at 37wks as he stayed breech.

What I'm wondering is whether there is a link between support belts and breech babies? Or was it just bad luck last time and could it be fine this time?

My babies have a tendancy to find a position and stay there - dd1 was head down at this point, dd2 was resolutely transverse until she finally flipped at 37+6, ds had to be manhandled into head down and it was very traumatic. I ended up having morphine and the consultant really didn't want to attempt it a third time (though thankfully he did and it was successful).

I have no intention of not using my support belt, but I was wondering if anyone has used one for more than one pg and found any of what I've said to ring true? Also posting in pg topic in case someone over there knows!

As far as I'm aware, a belt is unlikely to cause a baby to move into or stay in a breech piosition. A belt can sometimes help babies stay headdown after an ECV.
I wouldn't be worried about your baby being breech at 22 weeks (mine is) and they often somersault at this gestation as there is lots of room. I wouldn't be too worried till 30-32 weeks when they usually tend to start being head down.
You could consider seeing a chiropractor as sometimes issues with your pelvis can cause a uterine twist that encourages breech position.

I know that I have a retroverted uterus (I think that's what it is when it points backwards?) does this mean anything to you?

Of course, this all may be in my head! It was just one of those things that pops up in those middle of the night wakings...

There could be a link with that. But in general I beleive a tilted uterus tends to self correct position during the pregnancy.
I'be also heard Maya abdominal massage can be useful if you have a retroverted uterus-

Thank you.

TBH I think last time he was so comfy because everything I did (due to SPD etc) was totally the opposite of everything you're meant to do to shift them around! Like I say, it was a moment of whimsy!
