architien I can see why you were petrified. Hope you had a good MW and some support after. Have you been in touch with Birth Trauma Association?

upahill · 30/03/2011 13:10

Ds1 Can't remember - I know we thought he would be out before midnight and it went on until the early hours of the followingmorning. He started being born the day he was due and then, like he is now, couldn't be arsed finishing the job of himself and we needed help!

DS2 about 8.30am 10 days early

jilted thank you, unfortunately it was the MW who encouraged it to be quick, she just didn't realise how bloody detirmed and frightened I was, there was trauma.

I do have good news from today though: we are head down, LOA, plenty of fluid, good placenta and ....3/5ths engaged :) Thank God that worry is over!

Bluemary3000 · 31/03/2011 15:03

DD - 1:30 am. waters broke at midnight the night before with contractions starting at 11am the following morning. No sleep for 2 nights as was worrying about wetting my bed and then paranoid about sleeping with a new born baby.
DS - 5.20pm. contractions started at 3am, so again not much sleep but had a good nights sleep after the birth as he was quiet, the ward wasn't studily hot as they tend to be and other peoples babies were quiet. x

architien so sorry that you had such a poor experience with your first birth but am so, so glad that you had good news at the scan. Hope your birth experience is much better this time around.

DD just in time for breakfast - still likes her food.

DS2 early hours of the morning - still an early riser!!

DS2 21:21 on 21st - maybe 21 will be his lucky number!

Imnotaslimjim · 31/03/2011 17:47

7.29am and 10.15 am. The 2nd was a ELCS and I was so anxious I didn't sleep all weekend so was more tired after that than the natural birth!

MrsJohnDeere · 31/03/2011 17:51

My first baby was born on her due date - the only time we've ever been on time for anything! Midwife said only 4% of babies actually arrived on the due date. About 9 in the morning I think (but after a VERY long labour and 10 years ago, hard to recall). 2nd baby arrived early, but in time for tea!

MillsAndDoom · 31/03/2011 19:10

Lillabet · 31/03/2011 21:11

23:30 after (second attempt at) induction at 16:30!
He really couldn't be bothered after the first induction, it needed serious amounts of drugs!
