I have got what looks like a mettalic sheet thingy, DO I drape this over the top of the pool if I am waiting for more water to warm up from the boiler or If it's too early to get in?

thanks

Thank you, so you just kind of draped it over the top of pool?

I didn't have one of these. We just added an extra kettle full of boiling water when pool was getting a bit too cool. Imagine is good to be a bit more prepared though and fill pool earlier in labour rsther than doing it in a mad panic and discovereing tap adaptors didn't work like I did Blush

lady whoops,

Well I've read the instructions and according to them it may take up to 2 hours to fill as I don't have constant hot water. eek, this is baby number 6, will hope I have time to actually get in and enjoy the water at some point. Confused

Have borrowed my friend's jam making pan alomng with my own big stew pan, and another friend's big stew pan, so will get them going too, to try and reduce filling time.

How do they keep them warm when you're in hospital - this is something I have been wondering about for ages? Would love a water birth but would hate to be lying in cold water - not pleasant!

in hospital you just keep emptying a little out and topping it up with hot water. There are big taps over the pool so it doesnt take long.
you have to check the temperature every half hour in hospital so there could be alot of topping up!
