Re refused epidural

A woman should never be refused pain relief if she wants it. Whilst on the one hand some woman are being pushed into medicalised births they do not want others are being refused painrelief.
Women should take charge of their own births and not be pushed around. Know your rights read AIMS 'Am I allowed'booklet by Stephanie Beacham well before your due date and insist on the birth you want. This is the most important think you ever do-your baby, your life,your choice

Agree with McPonce. Sorry but if you think that having read a booklet and then insisting on the birth you want is going to make a difference then you're not being realistic.

Insisting on an immediate epidural on the NHS is about as realistic as insisting on an immediate hip replacement or an immediate organ transplant.
