I'm 37 weeks, been having back ache and mild period-y feelings, dull ache that feels very much like as it would if I was about to come on. Been going on for about 3 days.

Does this mean anything? Could it just be normal sort of end-of-pregnancy symptoms or could it mean that labour might be on its way? First baby so not sure what to expect!

Maybe, maybe not [grin[

I felt like this from about 36 weeks with my DS. he was born at 42 weeks.

Didn't have any niggles with DD. She came 2 weeks early!

it could be either, i suppose - your body could be warming up and sort of pootling around with various muscles and working out what it's doing.... Smile or yes, it could be seriously up for labour and giving you a little nudge.
Either way - I'd relax, have a bath, put your feet up and go with the flow... The baby will be here before you know it and then you'll be wondering why you didn't relax/have bath/feet up etc etc...Smile
But it's so hard not to analyse it. if it's really uncomfortable, paracetamol might take the edge off. You'll know if things are really progressing if the paracetamol don't touch it
good luck! keep us posted!

It's so hard to just relax and wait though! I have done everything I could possibly think of to be ready, so apart from watching movies or reading etc there's nothing much else to distract me. Every litte ache I think something is happening. I really hope it won't be 2 weeks late!

I've been feeling like this for about a week, I'm now 1 day over my EDD. I've also been having very strong BH. I didn't feel like this with DD though, but I think things are gearing up. It's probably your body preparing for labour but there's no telling how long it will be. Best of luck!

Awww OP I'm sure you won't be 2 weeks late. I planned something lovely to do for every day I was overdue; had DS at 40+3. But yes, that's how I started. Then everything went quiet, not much movement and he was born the next day.

Get bouncing on your Swiss ball and stat close to home. If you feel the need to go for a vigorous walk on your due date ( if you get that far) then for goodness sake take a mobile phone

Stay close! Sorry Blush
