Is back to back labour without an epidural really that impressive?

...because I did it a couple of weeks ago, and having read the obem thread where the woman in the pink pjs did it, it would appear we are some kind of superwomen?! Am feeling all smug and proud now...sorry!

Oh, and I forgot to say that if #4 (landing in July) is OP at the beginning of labour then there's not a cat in hell's chance I'll do it without an epidural.

I have made that clear right now to my consultant. I appreciate that epidurals are not necessarily on the list of emergency procedures etc but I never, ever want to do that again.

My cousins midwife said that the only thing that stopped her DS 'shooting out like a bullet' was the fact that he was back to back! She only just made it to the hospital!

I was an induced OP with my first birth. 37 hours of labour and a ventouse, with GA and a TENS machine.

It hurt - but labour hurts.

Does it make me Superwoman. Nope - just another Mum.

My DD was born back to back with just gas and air. I did feel proud of myself, not sure about smug Hmm
