Back - to Back baby... chances of C-Section?

I'm currently 40+4 - went for a sweep on tuesday and the m/w reckons the baby is back-to-back and couldn't do the sweep although I am 2cm dilated.

I have a feeling I might be induced, and was wondering if I'm more likely to have a c-section because of the baby's position.

i'm doing the exercies, etc for optimum foetal positioning.. but just wondering in case that doesn;t make my baby boy move! Smile

Both of mine were back to back. They turned during labour. First labour was pretty average, second was stupidly long and ds really took his time turning. They were both 10lbers though, so suspect there wasn't a lot of room for them to turn easily. Both natural births with just gas & air (for 2nd)

All mine were face up and no one ever comented, I always just assumed it was normal. Facing down just seems wrong!! Confused

All 3 were fairly uneventul vaginal births. I did find the pain was all in my back though and needed to be standing or kneeling during contractions, sitting or lying on my back made the pain much worse. Unfortunatley with my first I had to be put on the monitors and they insisted I stay lying on the bed which was pretty horrendous, ended up having pethidine and (unsuccesful) epidural but no forceps/ventuose or anything. So my last birth I point blank refused to get on the bed! Was lovely when ds2 was born with me kneeling on a mat on the floor so he was looking up at me immediately after being born. He didn't cry straight away but I knew he was ok as I could see his eyes looking around Smile

stargazers - what a beautiful expression (moony-eyed, lovey-dovey emoticon about her two statgazers...) Smile

Any news yet Cupcakes??
