Has anyone given birth at Warwick hospital? Recently moved into the area and don't know the hospital at all.

yes. for me it was excellent. and two other friends of mine both had very positive experiences there. It's relatively small, but not under resourced if you know what I mean.

It has a good reputation and I know people who were very pleased with their experiences there. There's a nice virtual tour on their website too.

Thank u, it's good to know people have had good experiences there and it has a good reputation! U hear about some places that sound awful. I'll look at their website for the virtual tour too. Thanks

I gave birth there 6 months ago - excellent midwives/nurses, my bab was in SCBU 5 days - all v supportive - usual NHS stuff though - invisible medics, no guiding hand driving cases

Check my figures, but I think it does have a 30% caesar rate though

Certainly streets ahead of many others in the area from what I hear

Yes, I did. I used the pool room and laboured in the water although I delivered on the bed.

The waterbirth class they offer is really worth going to even if you don't want a waterbirth, as they also go through the benefits of labouring in the water, pros and cons etc.

I found all the midwives really helpful and friendly. :)

yes both of my ds's were born there and I shall be back there again in next 4 weeks or so with dd1!

great midwives, I felt well cared for both times and am happy to go back.

Good luck :)

All 3 of my dcs were born there, and I generally felt well supported and cared for throughout. One useful tip I was given for the hospital stay after the birth (and this may well be true of all maternity wards) is to use the buzzer if you need any help (e.g. with feeding, changing nappies, etc) rather than assuming the midwives will automatically pop by check all is ok. They are busy so if you don't say otherwise will assume all is going well. That said, in my experience, once 'buzzed' they were always more than happy to help. Good luck [amile].
